So, I have an awesome roommate that called me one day and said, “Do you want to go to New York in a couple of weeks?” *pause*
HECK YES!! WhatDayDoINeedToBookTheFlightFor? WHY did you even ask the question when you know the answer? I call her my Make A Wish representative now.
So, 3 weeks later, here I am! And it’s amazing. I HIGHLY recommend going with people who know their way around. We are staying with my roommate’s aunt and we met up with another person who knew their way around. Also, smartphone subway maps are a necessity. It saves some embarassment too, since people don’t know exactly what you are looking at on your phone.
I wanted to come in the spring to see Central Park in bloom and the cherry trees are gorgeous and tulips and daffodils are everywhere. Overall it’s been ideal weather. Seeing this place in person is so wonderful. I thought it would be overwhelming to live here, like trying to climb Mount Everest missing one leg or something, but despite all the people and size, it’s manageable.
Is is worth it? Yes, absolutely, without a doubt, affirmative, no questions asked, for sure, uh-huh, yep, yeah, duh.
Also, coming to New York at Christmastime is on my list also, so NYC:Chapter 2 will follow at a later date.
March 2012 is going. to. be. epic. Best month of the year? We’ll see.
Last Friday, my March looked bare. My birthday was coming up, and I had NO plans. Well, as of today, I’m flying to Colorado for an interview this weekend, if Colorado doesn’t work out, I’ll be flying to North Carolina for an interview, I’m flying to New York City (!!!!) for my birthday, and I’ll hopefully be moving to a new state - all in 4 weeks! Weirdly enough, this is all working out rather well.
I dreamed last night that I bought a street legal dirt bike. I think my subconcious is telling me I need more adventure in my life.
Dear David Beckham,
You’re awesome, but now you’re just flaunting it.
